Our Beginning and Vision

In 1995, Gina Burk envisioned having gatherings for women, bringing them healing and restoration. Gina’s passion, along with the encouragement and strong spiritual support of her husband, Bob, "ignited" many others to become a part of this ministry of love.

As a group of 16 women united together in prayer and fasting it became clear the name of the ministry should be Isaiah 61 Ministries. The first three verses describe the vision of the ministry, which is to heal the broken hearted, setting the captives free to become a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.

The outreaches began in October 2000, using public school auditoriums and were geared toward the needs of women. Soon it became clear that the Holy Spirit was drawing the men as well.

Through worship, prayer, personal testimonies, scripture-based teachings, abundant encouragement, healings, and miracles, Jesus Christ is being glorified. The love of the Lord is the foundation and essence of this ministry and we are so grateful to Him for all He is doing.
